A high-level working meeting was held in Algeria to evaluate requests to classify agricultural projects as "strategic nature projects" and in line with the decisions of the Central Cell meeting on May 11, 2026. The Secretary-General responsible for State Administration and the Speaker of the State People's Assembly hosted representatives from SPA ÖZMERT ALGERIA and relevant institution heads over the weekend. During the official working session, SPA ÖZMERT representatives presented a detailed overview of a large-scale agricultural investment project, its development goals, and its potential contributions to the regional economy. This strategic project, specifically designed to encourage agricultural investments, aims to create over 500 jobs and become one of the strongest drivers of local development. During the meeting, state officials highlighted the region's high potential in the agricultural and industrial sectors. Advantages such as vast land resources, easy access to energy and water resources, strong infrastructure, and advanced logistics were emphasized, and it was stated that all necessary operational support would be provided at the state level for such promising visionary projects. In the second part of the program, the Director of Agricultural Affairs, accompanied by relevant sector representatives, department heads, and municipal council chairpersons, proceeded to field inspections. During the technical tour, which was also attended by representatives from our company, the technical infrastructure and topographical structure of the agricultural lands planned to be allocated to the project were analyzed on-site in line with the high requirements of the investment.
